Ophthalmologist Dr Shveta Grover is a top-notch Vitreoretina (retina) specialist from Bhatinda known for her services towards the treatment of a wide range of retina diseases including those of complex nature. Dr Grover is an MBBS graduate of Government Medical College and Rajindra Hospital, Patiala. In order to pursue a career in Ophthalmology, she went on to complete her Master of Surgery (MS) in the given field from PGIMER, Chandigarh. Subsequently, she devoted herself towards Retina specialisation and did senior residency in Opthalmology dept at PGIMER Chd under Prof Amod Gupta and Dr Vishali Gupta. She further did Vitreo Retina fellowship at BMCRI, Minto hospital, Bangalore. Which was an enriching experience for her in the surgical field dealing with complex retina cases. Her chief interest is in managing Diabetic retinopathy. She has to her credit over thousands of patients of diabetic retinopathy treated with medical management like laser, anti vegf injections, implants and surgical correction of vitreous haemorrhage, TRD, ERM with good visual outcome on long term follow up. She has been in her own practice at Grover Hospital for last 10 years now. Her hospital provides treatment for various eye diseases like Cataract, Glaucoma, Retina, uveitis and Diabetic Retinopathy.

Dr S.LGrover, MD medicine is one of the oldest physician of Bathinda. He started his practice in 1970. He and his wife Mrs Sarla have always endorsed ethical practice of Medicine and he continues to do so till date.

Grover Hospital is the oldest hospltal in the city catering to the needs of people of Bathinda and surrounding Malwa region. It was established in 1970 by Dr Sohan Lal Grover, a MD medicine physician who after taking training from PGI, Chd under Dr Chuttani decided to settle in Bathinda. It was the closest town to his native place Dabwali which is about 30 km away. He was the first ever MD medicine to start his practice in Bathinda, then a very remote place. He was the most renowned physician of his time, known for his detailed history taking and correct diagnosis. Till date people flock from far off places to see him. Our old hospital at Mall Road which is almost 50 year old now, speaks of the genuineness of the doctors and theirs ethical ways of practice. Dr Sameer Grover, urologist, is the youngest son of Dr Sohan Lal Grover, he has been practicing at the Mall Road Hospital along with his wife Dr Shveta from 2010 onwards.
