Ophthalmologist Dr Shveta Grover is a top-notch Vitreoretina (retina) specialist from Bhatinda known for her services towards the treatment of a wide range of retina diseases including those of complex nature. Grover Hospital is the oldest hospltal in the city catering to the needs of people of Bathinda and surrounding Malwa region. It was established in 1970 by Dr Sohan Lal Grover, a MD medicine physician who after taking training from PGI, Chd under Dr Chuttani decided to settle in Bathinda. It was the closest town to his native place Dabwali which is about 30 km away. He was the first ever MD medicine to start his practice in Bathinda, then a very remote place. He was the most renowned physician of his time, known for his detailed history taking and correct diagnosis. Till date people flock from far off places to see him.
